We have reserved a private villa, with 14 suites, for our guests to stay together and take part in the celebration. The beachfront Hacienda Magica, is located on Fatima Bay, in the private, gated community of Puerto Aventuras. The hacienda features an infinity swimming pool, tennis court, and kayaks to enjoy at the beach. The home is fully staffed with a private chef, bartender, butler and daily housekeeping to ensure guests can turn the wedding weekend into a vacation.
Check-in time is on Thursday, November 28th, 3:00 PM or later.
Check-out time is on Monday, December 2, at 10:00 AM.
Cancun International Airport, is the closest airport to fly into. Puerto Aventuras, is approximately 1hour 10 minutes south of Cancun.
Arrival: We recommend guests land in the early afternoon on Thursday 11/28.
Departure: Similarly, those flying out Monday 12/2, can base their departure flight around the 10am check-out time.
Please share your flight information with the bride and the groom as soon as booked. For transportation to and from the villa, we will make every effort to group people together in private vans, whenever possible, to limit costs of transfers. Once ground transfers are arranged, we will share logistics and key contacts for coordination with guests.
The community of Puerto Aventuras is quaint, tropical and lush. It is a private, gated community. There are several marinas inside the community that guests can easily walk to from the private villa. Yachts and catamarans are also docked in these marinas for private or group tours. There is a 9-hole golf course within the community. Services such a massages can be easily administered on-site, in the comfort of guest’s private room. There is an off-site spa, inside the community.
Around the main marina, you can find numerous restaurants, shops, and cafes. Below you will find some of our recommended businesses. Guests can also inquire with the Hacienda's concierge, Laurie, for recommendations.
Sports:
PA Golf & Tennis Club
Restaurants and Cafes:
Cafe Ole, located on the marina, with a full menu and live entertainment.
Latitude 20, located on the north side of the marina, near the Dreams Resort, serves a variety of regional and grilled cuisine, with live bands.
Nauti Burro, on the marina, is a frequented spot for locals and visitors, with good food and local entertainment.
Lara & Luca, on the marina, serves a variety of healthy selections for breakfast and lunch.
Paparazzi, for pizza.
Cenotes: Are open water sink holes with fresh, clear water, and only found in these regions of the world. They are considered magical, spiritual, and therapeutic. There are many found off the highway, just outside of the community and along the highway going south. Guests can swim, snorkel, paddle board, kayak and dive in these above ground and underground ancient waterholes.
Tulum: Famous for their beaches, the laid-back, rustic, boho feel and of course the authentic Mayan ruins. The ruins are approximately a 25 minute drive from Puerto Aventuras. Tour time is approx. 1 1.2 hours. If you go, we suggest a ½ day itinerary that include the ruins, a stop at a Cenote and late lunch on the beach or at the many famous restaurants along beach road or in town.
Coba: A spectacular site with authentic ruins. The site is located about 30 minutes inland from the Tulum area, off-the-beaten-track with a pyramid that is higher than the one located in Chichenitza. Coba is a spectacular site with impressive structures, as it was a large city at one time. Tour time is approx. 2 hours.
Playa del Carmen: Is an international community, just under 20 minutes north of Puerto Aventuras. There are beach clubs with activities, restaurants, a world-renowned 5th Avenue that stretches more than 60 blocks lined with boutiques, cafes, and restaurants.

Pesos and US dollars are widely accepted. Many businesses and restaurants accept credit cards, but be advised that some may charge a 3-5% processing fee for the transaction.
A taxi station from within Puerto Aventuras can be found just outside of the marina, a short walk from the Haciendas, if guests want to take a taxi out of the community. We recommend to confirm the rate of where you are going, with the driver, before you enter the taxi. There is also a sign that lists the rates by destination.
In Mexico the standard voltage is 127 V and the frequency is 60 Hz. You can use your US electric appliances in Mexico, if the standard voltage in your country is in between 110 - 127 V (as is in the US, Canada and most South American countries). Manufacturers take small deviations (plus or minus 5%) into account. Be careful if you bring appliances from Japan (100 V). If the standard voltage in your country is in the range of 220 - 240 V (as is in the UK, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia), you need a voltage converter in Mexico. Some say you can carefully try to use your appliances in Mexico without a converter. Most likely they won't be damaged, but may not function optimally. If you don't want to take any chances, use a converter. You can also consider a combined power plug adapter/voltage converter.
If you’re unable to attend, please inform the couple as soon as possible so they can adjust their plans accordingly.
Please navigate the schedule of events for more details on the dress code. If you want to know more, please contact the couple for guidance.
Spanish and English. The community of Puerto Aventuras has many English-speaking establishments.
Please know that there are only a couple of ATM machines within the Puerto Aventuras area. You can exchange funds at the airport or at your local bank ahead of time if you plan to pay in USD. US dollars are widely accepted at many establishments. There is a money exchange house located near the marina inside the community of Puerto Aventuras, if guests wish to exchange US dollars to Mexican Pesos. It may not be the same exchange rate as a bank would give, as the money exchange houses charge a commission. However, the difference is minimal unless large amounts of cash are being exchanged.
The average temperature in Puerto Aventuras in November for a typical day ranges from a high of 82°F (28°C) to a low of 73°F (23°C). Some would describe it as warm, a bit humid but cooler in the evening.
If you were thinking of giving a gift to help us on our way, a contribution towards our honeymoon fund would really make our day.
With love, Naomi and Lance
